The 84C series vortex mass flowmeter complements the Foxboro family of intelligent, powerful vortex flowmeters. The 84C series is available with 4 to 20 mA, HART® 7 and pulse output and is equipped with temperature compensation for mass flow measurement of saturated steam (saturated steam) and liquids. In addition, the Foxboro 84C has the patented Active Tuning technology that significantly improves accuracy with a Reynolds number from 5000.
The vortex flow meters are available with a gold sensor, making them suitable for hydrogen applications. Gold is chosen for its excellent chemical stability and resistance to corrosion, even in demanding environments such as hydrogen. It is inert, prevents reactions with hydrogen molecules, and minimizes the risk of brittleness or leakage. This makes gold an ideal material for sensors in hydrogen applications.
