The 84CN series vortex mass flow meter with threaded connection complements Schneider Electric (formerly Foxboro) family of intelligent, powerful vortex flowmeters. The 84CN series is available with 4 to 20 mA, HART7 and or Modbus communication and can optionally be equipped with temperature compensation for mass flow measurement of saturated steam and liquids. In addition, the Foxboro 84CN features the patented Active Tuning technology that significantly improves accuracy at a Reynolds number from 5000.
The vortex flow meters are available with a gold sensor, making them suitable for hydrogen applications. Gold is chosen for its excellent chemical stability and resistance to corrosion, even in demanding environments such as hydrogen. It is inert, prevents reactions with hydrogen molecules, and minimizes the risk of brittleness or leakage. This makes gold an ideal material for sensors in hydrogen applications.
