The IAP05S series is a budget-friendly pressure transmitter within the Schneider Electric range and is standard SIL2 certified. The IAP05S measures an absolute pressure with an accuracy of 0.075% of the chosen measuring range, varying from 50 kPa to 345 bar. This makes the IAP05S pressure transmitter somewhat less accurate than its bigger brothers, but also a lot cheaper. For less demanding applications, this pressure transmitter has the best price-quality ratio. Handy options are the yellow and red colored rings with which color coding can easily be applied in a factory, for example for SIL classifications.
Schneider pressure transmitters are available with gold sensors, making them suitable for hydrogen applications. Gold is chosen for its excellent chemical stability and resistance to corrosion, even in demanding environments such as hydrogen. It is inert, prevents reactions with hydrogen molecules, and minimizes the risk of brittleness or leakage. This makes gold an ideal material for sensors in hydrogen applications.
