The Micatrone Series PU3 is designed to be used in conjunction with Micatrone Series PFTT or PFA-PU to prevent clogging of MFS self-averaging flow sensors. The PU3 unit is mounted between the transmitter and flow sensor(s). In dusty or condensed applications, the flow sensor is blown through with compressed air at regular intervals. The cleaning interval can be set between 30 and 3600 seconds and each cleaning period can be set between 0 and 60 seconds. During purge, the transmitter output is frozen/locked. As a result, this cycle is not visible in the PLC and/or building management system.
